ABSTRACT
This study was aimed at examining fast food business in Uyo metropolis;
challenges and prospects of management, using selected fast food centers in Uyo
metropolis as a case study. Consequently, sixty (60) copies out of 60 copies of
questionnaire forms were retrieved. The Data analysis technique used was
Chi-square (c2) statistical tool through which four tests were conducted. The result indicated that; customer service management is a strategy for growth of
fast food business, inventory control is a strategy for profitability in fast
food business and efficient and forward looking management is not a factor in
growth of fast food business. Recommendations were made to fast food operators
in Uyo metropolis that; they should adopt the first law of fast food service
acceleration, “the faster food moves, the move the operator will sell.”
Suggestion was also made for the study to be conducted in other states in the
country.
